Red Square
Red Square is the most famous square in Moscow and Russia, and for centuries, it has played an important role in the life of the country. This is where the introduction to the capital usually begins. Rare in beauty, the architectural ensemble of Red Square is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The main sights are St. Basil's Cathedral, the Spasskaya Tower and the Moscow Kremlin Museums, Lenin's Mausoleum with the Kremlin Necropolis, the Historical Museum and the GUM.
Red Square is where all the biggest events take place during the public holidays. Every year, a great number of tourists come here to see the architectural monuments and capture in their photos the ancient beauty and power of the main square of the country.
