Exhibition: Treasures of the Imperial Residences: Tsarskoye Selo

The exhibition ‘Treasures of the Imperial Residences: Tsarskoye Selo’ is now open at the Exhibition Complex of the State Historical Museum and will run until 13 April 2026.

This large-scale exhibition presents not only highlights from the permanent palace collection but also exceptional pieces typically kept in the museum’s storerooms. Visitors can admire unique furniture adorned with precious stones, metals and rare woods; exquisite artefacts from the legendary Amber Room; and distinguished collections of porcelain and glass produced by Russian imperial factories and sourced internationally, including works by the renowned Émile Gallé.

A significant portion of the exhibition showcases personal belongings of Russian emperors and empresses, along with portrait paintings and notable works by masters represented in the Tsarskoye Selo art collection.

One dedicated section focuses on jewellery pieces from the 18th to the early 20th century, including exceptional creations by Fabergé.
